I just received this message from my daughter.

WhatsApp settings were updated without warning.
Its group settings include "everyone" by default, so people you do not know can add you to a group or read your personal comments without you knowing.
This could include scammers etc.

You can change default settings as follows.

1. Go to WhatsApp
2. Settings.
3. Account.
4. Privacy.
5. Groups.Change from "Everyone" to "My Contacts."

If this is old news or irrelevant to you, forgive my intrusion, and ignore.

Old news but the only thing I use what’s is for calls I never use groups and calls are encrypted on both sides of call but thanks for information many probably don’t know
