Classic Car Transport to The Villages

Somewhere around February, We will be relocating to the villages from along Island. Can anyone recommend a closed car transport company who will pick up and deliver our classic cars to and from home addresses along with approximate pricing? Looking to transport three autos.

Just use GOOGLE and search “” classic car transportation”

My experience with auto transport brokers leads me to recommend you not use them. Very unreliable. If your "classics" have true value and good white glove handling is necessary I would go with point to point auto transport companies such as Passport Transport or Reliable Transport. These companies have their own fleet of trucks, they are not brokers. These are the types of companies that deliver cars sold at Barrett Jackson, etc. Not the cheapest I'm sure but you might be rolling the dice with a broker. That is what I did and got burned. BTW contact Hagerty Insurance and see who they recommend.

I agree with this recommendation entirely. I wouldn't use any other transport service for a mid-high value classic/exotic car.

Reliable Carriers is who I used and they are competitive with pricing. They offer both open and closed shipping.

Estimate from Reliable from Ohio was 1600 dollars enclosed. Ask them if it stays on the same truck all the way, some companies transfer car along the way. Long Island will definitely be more, your tolls and distance are greater. Book early, some companies are booked out months.

Classic car transport

I just had a classic car transported from L A to The Villages. I used Passport Transport, they were about $1,000 less than Reliable. They have been around for 50 years, have 20 trucks or so. You can track the truck online while enroute. Our driver had 15 years experience, and did a good job. I will use them again.

An interesting issue. Storing three cars in the Villages might also be a problem. "Classic cars," many are not standard dimensions.

We actually had our classic car shipped with the furniture, United van lines about 9 years ago.

I know a high end dealer that uses autobahn USA for twenty years. Do a research for sure

I’ve used Owens Trucking services, LLC 484-322-9169. They are a smaller company that move a lot of classic vehicles. They are both reasonable and reliable and fully insured.

I had our 61 Vette put in the moving van as well.
Be sure the van has a flat floor (no wheel well arches inside trailer).
