Need recommendations for a reputable mold remediation/ removal company. Thanks in advance Mark Mrjunkman7@yahoo.com |
Call your insurance company ASAP. THey should be involved and can give you recommendations. I was in the biz but not in this area.

Sorry for your problems, I have only seen ads on television for these services and do not have any direct use of these services. If I understood your original post you bought the house with the mold(?) or did the water leak occur after you bought the house(?), this goes to the previous poster suggesting you get insurance company involved. IMHO, you might still call your insurance company, as they probably have experience with these type of problems and the clean up efforts.

Mold Removal & Remediation
ServPro out of Ocala. Great job. I feel your pain. Two weeks after closing we discovered a $35k hidden mold problem. The Seller's completely lied on the Seller's Disclosure. One specific ques. is "Has there ever been any water leaks" and they checked the no box. They had their hot water heater blow up on them while they were on vacation in 2013 creating this mold issue. The Seller had Servpro give them an estimate and to save $400 they went with a drywall company who stated "treated for mold" no further explaination. We contacted ServPro Ocala and they came to the house with the 2013 quote and pictures in hand. In that quote ServPro was "concerned that the mold had penetrated to the back side of the master bathroom wall. We found it when the cabinets, sinks, and large glued on mirrors were removed. The mold was also found covering the complete inside if the A/C system to include 3 feet up into the fresh air return. We will be suing the Seller. We have plenty of evidence that was left behind. Just an F.Y.I. by Fl. law mold issues must be remediated by a certified mold remediation specialist (not just a drywall company) to include testing prior to and after remediation so the home can be certified mold free. Good Luck
