Krogers Experience

I understand that Krogers has started delivering groceries to this area. If anyone has any experience with this please let us know. Thanks

Would also be interested. Kroger vs. Publix / instacart.

I LOVE the Krogers delivery system. I am getting what I ordered exactly, better pricing than Publix and they seem to pick things that are fresher than I have experienced with trying to do the pick up thing from Walmart. I find they arrive within the delivery window and everything is fresh. Hope this helps!

Excellent. Showed up on time and orders correct. Current offers not as generous as introductory ones. Got over 200 worth of free items

They are excellent, Deliveries always right on time. Many prices are less than or competitive with the local markets but like the local markets they are out of stock on lots of stuff. Their delivery selection is limited, which of course is depending on what your needs are. Only suggestion is choose "no substitutions" when placing an order because you may not like what you get. Everything is kept nice and cold on their truck. Ice cream and frozen foods are delivered completely frozen and dairy plenty cold.

It's a central warehouse, not a store about an hour away. I believe it is in or near Tampa.

(Edit) Here:
Kroger Delivery
1820 Massaro Blvd, Tampa, FL

They also have an "Amazon Prime" type of service for $80/yr with no delivery charge for orders over $35. Normally delivery is $10 per order.

Nearest Kroger store is in Groveland.

I see their vans traveling through TV all the time.

Substitutions most always end up in my favor. I always allow them. We get 1-2 orders per week from Kroger. See ya Publix.

Fantastic!

You pay an on-going membership fee, a per delivery fee, and an increase in item fee. Posts on here they say they are less expensive are not correct. Go join walmart for free and click for curbside pickup. Then shop online per item with walmart while shopping online at the same time with kroger. Item for item Kroger is ripping you off as you place them in your online cart. Walmart has no fees at all for curbside pickup. Close the Kroger app without checking out. Place purchase on your cart with Walmart.

We’ve used Kroger for months. Their delivery service is awesome!

Unless you really need home delivery, the drive-thru services at Walmart and Sam’s Club couldn’t be easier. And unlike the curbside or home delivery services offered by Publix and Target, the prices are the same as in the store. The others use a third-party company to provide the service who sets their own prices. I’ve found items with prices elevated as much as 25% from in-store. They don’t even permit their employees to accept tips for delivering your order to your car.

The idea of the grocer picking items and then delivering reminded me of the corner grocery at the end of the street where I grew up. Mrs. Landers grocery was a small store with a counter across the width of the store. I would hand Mrs. Landers the list given me by my mom and she would disappear into the aisles and come back with my items in a bag.

Nowdays two very different concepts are emerging. Either we have total self service from picking items to self checkout or total service from picking items to delivery. I suppose both will survive but it is surprising to see people again trust someone else to pick out food items for them.
