Please rate non-Village courses

Would like to hear what courses are worth the ride, price and condition!

One of my favorites is Stone Creek in Ocala. Great condition, fast greens, and the fees are always comparable to the Villages. Another interesting and challenging course is Deer Island in Mt Dora. Water on every hole and comes into play twice on three of the holes.

non villages courses

I agree, Deer Island is nice as is Mission Inn when they have their Villager special for $44. World Woods is also good if you look for their online specials.

Juliette Falls in Dunnellton. (sp) Great course, good condition, reasonable price. Also like Deer Island.

Just played El Diablo in Citrus Springs. Awesome course. Stonecrest and Eagle Ridge at Del Webb are also nice courses.

Our Hemingway group plays at Continental Country Club twice a month. Best price around ($20 (with a coupon) this month includes a beer and hot dog). They have a shotgun start at 8:30am and 1pm during the week. Great if you have a large group. Course is well maintained and we enjoy it. It is close to The Villages now that Buena Vista is open to 44.

A lot of our friends have played this course and rave about how nice it is.

I agree with all of the above but would add Harbor Hills and Baseline.

When did you last play it? Played it last winter and it was awful, they hadn't overseeded. Played Stone Creek today (awesome) Silver Springs is in excellent shape also.

Deer Island is very nice but priced on the high side, Summerglen, Arlington Ridge and Plantation are some very nice reasonably priced courses....gn
