Planning to add an outdoor kitchen

Anyone added an outdoor kitchen here and had good - or bad, results? Who did the work and would you hire them again? Thanks in advance.

I installed my own. HDPE (cutting board plastic) cabinets. Front venting stainless in and out fridge, range top, undermount sink, quartz top, and stone backsplash. Cost $7,981.00.

2 neighbors used T&D for the outdoor kitchens, both look great. Be sure you get ARC approval for your project, this is your responsibility. Contractor is responsible for all permits.

Hell no, we seldom use our indoor kitchen.

ARC approval is not required for improvements on your lanai. Just as you not get ARC approval for a mini split you do not get one for an outdoor kitchen.

As far as permits maybe required, or maybe not. It depends. OP, you probably have an area pre-plumbed with extra outlets and a gas line, so you are installing a few things not constructing a kitchen. This is not Massachusetts or NYC, where you get a permit to install a new water heater and so on. Now a roof hood vent certainly would require a permit.

Toymeister, aren’t you handy! That looks great!

Toymeister, you may be correct on ARC approval, I do remember a conversation I had many years ago, but that was for something much smaller than an outdoor kitchen. Also, not all of the deed restrictions are the same, so to be on the safe side I would call ARC to be sure.
