Town Squares and Food

Wondering if it’s ok to bring a picnic dinner to any of the squares between 5-9pm? Are there any official or unofficial rules prohibiting the consumption of food while the entertainment is ongoing?

Coolers are not allowed "on" the square. Spanish Springs has some tables with umbrellas set up outside of the back of MVP where one could bring a picnic and cooler and still be able to see the stage. You would be facing the back of the stage, but could still enjoy the music.

I see people eating there all the time
Some with coolers

I've seen people "tailgating" with their golf cart and camp chairs when parked "around" the actual square. No one seemed to be concerned about it...

The announcement says no outside refreshments allowed inside the squares.

Beverage Policy Our liquor license is limited to the Town Square where you purchase your drink and only to beverages distributed by our bars. Any consumption of alcohol outside of these limitations is in violation of local laws and ordinances and is subject to enforcement by local authorities.

I still want to know what the definition of "inside the squares" means...

Is it only the actual square, that is roped or fenced off, where the dance floor/seating band stands is? Or does it include all of the surrounding area, parking shops, etc?

Inside the Square will be decided by the Judge! Plead Ignorance and you may get the Electric Chair! The older you are, the less excuse you have

the square is self defined...it is the square formed by the roads surrounding the stage area. common sense...also any drinking outside that area or from outside restaurant/bar seating is illegal outside the "square" and is considered drinking in public.

So, according to your definition, the sidewalks OUTSIDE of the roped off area (that seems to define what is/isn't the square) is actually INSIDE the square...

Well that certainly cleared things up...

I was never one for following that statement and I don’t believe it was included in my closing documents.

I’ll go on a limb and say the LAST thing the sheriff or cops are enforcing is a 65 year old with a vodka tonic from home and a ham sandwich.

Correct! But, the FBI could get involved based on recent events.
