Several residents of St. Catherine Verandas East have had a problem with Josh Nichols of VillageScapes & Pavers of Central Florida.

He has missed several appointments with us, he will not answer his phone or texts. The mail box on the phone is full so no message can be left. One neighbor is having ALL the Work done by Josh removed and is starting over again it's that bad.

I had a landscaper do the exact thing - not show up, not respond to texts, etc

Ends up he was in a car accident, phone was trashed and he couldn’t get a new one right away.

Maybe? Or, maybe not. Few years ago we and many other home owners with rental properties had a management company that was great for a while. Then they started to having problems. Rain damage to the office, computer problems, etc. It got hard, then impossible to get ahold of them. Office was closed and empty. Renters were showing up with no access or ability to get the agent. Not only were renters, many from overseas, out thousands and left hanging, the property owners were out ten's of thousands of dollars. God knows how much they absconded with. Some owners had reported to the atty gens office, (Bondi at the time) and, apparently, they had a quite a dossier on this guy and the scams he and group had been running for years. Was anything ever done? Yes, they kept records. Was he ever prosecuted? No. Did anyone get their money back, even part of it? Not to my knowledge.
So, does the atty gen want to get notified about a landscaper? Maybe, maybe not.

Had same problems with Josh Nichols. He took our money and ran. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH VILLAGESCAPES OR JOSH NICHOLS; You will be sorry if you do so.

In order to make it towable probably have to replace the tires. Have to rent a tow vehicle, then pay to store it somewhere.
Cheaper to hire a ninja to take him out.

Another reminder to Villages: Do not use Villagescapes / Josh Nichols ! He has scammed many people in TV. He took our deposit, did not work, bought no plants, bought no materials (because we never agreed to a plan). Crimes vs. Seniors already involved. Wildwood and Sumter County Police are still taking complaints...and they are adding up. We found out he has somewhat of a 'lengthy' police record in other jurisdictions. BEWARE !!

Please keep this alive and update for for all of us, especially the newcomers.
The police are taking complaints. That is nice. But are they actually doing something?? Enquiring minds want to know.
