Closed threads??

Can someone explain how threads are closed? I posted a thread on predicting the Rittenhouse verdict and it was quite active with almost 250 postings - the most recent beings 2:47 pm today. The verdict is still outstanding but the thread was closed. I looked on the website but couldn’t find an answer. Does anyone know? Thanks.

I’ll take a guess. This forum is for items directly pertaining to The Villages.

Nope. It probably got way to political for the moderators to deal with it anymore. Right or wrong, that is the way it is here.

The admins should have the ability to move a thread to another subforum. Seems like it would have been fine in the Current Events and News area.

kathy

I have had a couple of my threads moved to another sub-forum. No rhyme or reason for this.

99.............it's a judgement call by the peep's with the magic button.

I believe they try to be fair and equal to all.

There are a lot of posts and poster that I feel should not be here.

You answered your own post, 250 replies enough is enough, and I read none of them ., I’m sure I missed out on some wonderful expert legal opinions over and over and over , like I did on the movie shooting which I didn’t read either , I was 2 busy watching my grass grow

I don't think it has to do with the number of replies. The thread about nothing has more than 20,000 replies.

You just answered your own post , the thread about nothing is nothing

In depth thoughts are not allowed, unless it’s about fuzzy dogs and pretty flowers.

There are too many replies (like this one) which do not respond to OP question or comment. Tendency to get boring. Maybe when moderators see the crux of the message evaporating, getting sidetracked, etc they simply close it down
