Looking for Gyros
 

Anyone know where locally to get real Gyros sliced off a rotating spit? The lunchmeat sliced Gyros is not cutting it.

It's all Greek to me. Great place up at Seaside Park NJ but not sure if they spit or not :) but they were good. I would taste the onions for a week. Takis Deli in Leesburg has Gyros on the menu. My preference is pork souvlaki.

Thanks. Got two places to try..Takis= sliced lunchmeat.

Tarpon Springs is all I know where they slice the meat off of a vertical spit.

Try The Great Chicago Fire on Magnolia Street in Leesburg

I asked the same thing I did get Publix (Colony) to stock Gyro kits in the Deli Dept. I am trying to get them to sell Gyro meat in bulk the more that ask may turn the corner
