Not necessarily. It depends on where you live and what is your regular pick up day. My garbage is scheduled to be picked up today instead of the regular Thursday pick up.

Mind Monday's and Thursday’s. If Thursday holiday it’s always picked up on Saturday in my district. You have to know what district you live in.
