I see this job, both full and part-time posted on the Villages website quite a bit. Can anyone provide any insight as to this job? Requirements? Pay? Thanks!

Thanks all. But what I was really hoping for was someone who perhaps had held/currently held the position and could provide their opinion. Sort of like when you research a vehicle on the web from independent sources vs just going to the Toyota website.

Caretaker is responsible for the overall care and upkeep of the accommodations enrolled in our visitation programs here in The Villages. They act as an ambassador who draws from technical expertise to prepare our homes for visiting guests and are known to provide guest services during their stay which may include lending technical assistance with electronics, troubleshooting appliances and/or assisting with general maintenance as needed. In addition, this role conducts pre and post departure inspections to ensure accommodations are left in good condition while helping to coordinate proper next steps for future arrivals. Duties may include, but are not limited to, re-stocking homes with necessary supplies, working with contractors for routine or emergency maintenance, organizing storage unit supplies, documenting repairs and correspondence, assisting guests with questions, etc. This ‘in-field’ role carries a cell/pager to communicate while working and periodically participates in after hour ‘on call’ duties throughout the year. A Caretaker contributes to creating lasting first impressions and establishes the beginning of an unforgettable experience with us here in Florida’s Friendliest Hometown!
