It speaks well of The Villages that this is seen as worthy of note. In most other communities, such activities and worse wouldn't merit a second thought.

Seems like their main source of "news" is the police blotter!

They got off on $500 bail, and it is unlikely that they will be punished further until they are caught with stolen property. But they will be eventually. I wish they could be, say, injected with some chemical that would make them glow in the dark under black light like tarantulas. Or branded “thief.” At the least, I hope they are thoroughly documented so they will be the go-to guys next time there is a car burglary.

Million-dollar idea here!

My son's lady is receiving radiation treatment for breast cancer. She had a family picture taken last week and the spot where she is being irradiated glowed white in the picture.

So--if you're convicted of a felony, why not implant each person with some kind of marker such as this that would show up on surveillance camera pictures?

(Tongue coming out of cheek now...)

a couple of bad guys hit our street up north a few years ago doing this.....

wife and I had agreed to switch cars that morning....when I got into her car that morning my thought was, 'wow, she keeps a messy car'.....she
said she was thinking the same thing about me

we didn't find out what had really happened until we returned home that evening and spoke with neighbors

neither of our cars were locked, so there was no damage, they just rummaged through the glove box, etc. and made a mess....we lived at the end of a dead end street in a rural town of 1700 voters....
