Boosted with Pfizer yesterday here in the Villages.

After my two Moderna shots in the parking lot of a Catholic church off of Powell Road last Spring it was nice to get a Pfizer booster shot at CVS here in the Villages yesterday.

Arm is still sore but doing well.

Much more interesting people-watching at CVS.

Good for you , one of the only benefits of being over 80 is that I had access to all 3 early

I totally understand

Mr. Boomer and I got the Moderna booster, back home, two weeks ago. . .

Exactly 24 hours later, we both were muscle-sore all over and walking like Tim Conway in those “Oldest Man” skits. We fell asleep before 10 o’clock that night.

And then!

When we woke up the next morning, we felt great, lots of energy, muscle soreness all gone — and now — we are both really good lookin’ and much smarter, too.

Boosted Boomer :)

I hope that happens. I was going to get a flu shot too but need to go somewhere else for my medical insurance to cover it.

Curious as to why you switched brands...

fishon 12-29-2021 06:37 PM

That's the only shot they had available at that time. For the booster anyway.

Ahhh... Makes sense...

For those into data, a recently released UK study is showing reduced efficacy with booster.......

There is evidence of waning of protection against symptomatic disease with increasing time after dose 2, and by 10 weeks after the booster dose, with a 15 to 25% reduction in vaccine effectiveness after 10 weeks,"

Booster efficacy against symptomatic Omicron reduces within 10 weeks, World News | wionews.com

This sounds like it is a much more factual take on the matter.
