Starbucks Trailwinds

I went to Starbucks Trailwinds today.
Lobby was closed. New drive thru hours are until 3 pm and
closed on Thursday. I asked and it’s due to staffing shortages.
Oh and the prices went up again.

How are people NOT working??

One possible partial (at least) reason - A lot of households with two working parents realized during the pandemic that they could get along (even without assistance) on one salary but no daycare costs. And, it's usually better for the kids as well.
I wonder how the daycare business has been doing the past 6 months or so?
This might really be a good thing long term

Starbucks put through new Covid rules. By January 10 employees must provide vaccination proof or have weekly testing.

I think employees need to pay for testing too.

Absolutely agree, especially for those who refuse to be vaccinated.

466 is only opened a few hours a day as well and Lake Sumter closes at 1PM every day this week. My granddaughter and grandson both work for SBX in NJ and what is happening is so many employees are testing positive they don't have enough staff to stay opened regular hours. Company policy is 5 days home. It is wrecking havoc with scheduling. If they are not "fully vaccinated" they have to test weekly and pay for it themselves. Article below:

I agree skip the vaccine then pay for testing. My son’s corporation has required the approved Covid Vaccine for employees although they have a choice unvaccinated medical insurance has been increased $200 monthly and must obtain weekly tests on their own time. Also his Military Reserve unit requires mandatory Covid and boosters, 7 were discharged for failure to comply.

Good. We need to stick to the rules!

It is interesting that the vaccinated don’t need to test even though they can still get the variant and pass it on. Several friends and family members have experienced this. So what good is all of this doing if the asymptomatic person handing me my latte has been vaxed and is wearing a cloth mask?

NotGolfer 01-06-2022 05:57 AM

So it's been long enough into this thing to see some things happening. Get vaccinated yet some people are still getting the plague. Then get a booster but they some of those folks are getting the plague or variant. BUT wear a mask and keep 6 ft away and get a vaccination or booster.....then we'll all be safe. Two years ago we were told to batten down the hatches for 2 weeks THEN we'll get back to normal. Hasn't happened yet!! Doesn't something sound weird here or is it just me?? There was a piece on t.v. last night about workers or lack there-of. Apparently they still can get $$$ for not working. Is this true??

You mean for those who don't follow the fake science? Look it up. The number of deaths worldwide has remained at a constant .76% for the past 3 years. So much for a worldwide Pandemic. Or haven't you noticed that the vast majority of those getting Covid today are those who took the jab - NFL, NBA, NHL, cruise ship crew and passengers. Wake up and smell tge coffee!

Staff shortages are often because positive covid cases. Dont blame the business when the real culprit are those who choose not to get vaccinated and infect everyone else.

yet a large number are the ones that got the vax, in particular mRNA. Also if you look at vax technology and trends, a vaccine is not a guarantee you won't get whatever you are vaccinated for, it is merely added protection. Every person's body is different there is no such thing as a 1 thing cures all solution. This is much like that Blood clot BS , any vaccine can cause that, J&J isn't the only one, the mRNA have had plenty of cases of clots.

My apology
I’m sorry that I’ve taken such good care of myself my whole life by eating properly and exercising, that I’m now a bad person because I’m not vaccinated. Unless someone can tell me THE LONG TERM AFFECTS.....YOU get the vaccine......I’ll stay healthy be no putting anything foreign in my body
