A Miami couple was arrested after police say they kidnapped and tortured a man for 72 hours. Police tells WSVN that a man was coerced into coming to The Villages Apartment homes on Dec. 28, where he was later held at gunpoint, chained and repeatedly threatened.

Two days later the suspects, Occius Dorsainvil, 56, and Marie Dorsainvil, 52, demanded that the victim give up his car in exchange for his freedom. After heading to the victim's car, Dorsainvil's later forced the victim to drink a combination of rum and bleach, according to reports.

Is it TV makes really soundproof apartments where one can be tortured for 72 hours with no one hearing? That most residents in the apartments need their hearing checked? Or do we fall back on the "Yes, I'm going to use this one isolated incident to affirm that apartments are bad in TV". :popcorn:

I wonder why we have not heard much about this until now? And something seems off with the police department involved.

Just googled it and there are some apartments in the Miami area that go by the name "The Villages Apartment's". Since they were reporting FROM Miami, and we have not heard of it here, I think that a far more likely location.

The only loud torture here are some of the bands at the squares. ;)

The article says to reach our to Miami Dade sheriff’s. I am going with Miami Dade sherries are not working a case here.

Fox 4 is a Miami channel and they reached out to Miami-Dade County police department for more information.

I did not realize this. From the article I gleaned that they kidnapped the victim in the Miami area, and drove him to The Villages for torture. Unless "The Villages Apartments" are very well known in the Miami area, it is a bit misleading at best, and sensationalistic at worst, for the article author/editor to not clarify which "The Villages" was meant.

The Villages (ours), is known nationally and internationally. It'd be like saying there was kidnapping/torture/murder at Disneyland, while only meaning a small local cafe called "Disney Land" in Nebraska as opposed to the famous mouse house in Anaheim, CA.

What is wrong with you?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?


The crime took place in The Villages Apartment Homes on the 700 block of Northwest 69th Street.
