Islam: the religion of tolerance?
 

Juan Williams has been fired from his job as senior news analyst for National Public Radio for expressing an opinion about Muslims and terrorism on "The O'Reilly Factor" on Fox News Channel.

According to the Washington Post article, "Muslim advocacy groups and liberal commentators reacted with outrage to Williams's comments on 'The O'Reilly Factor' and called for his ouster. Conservative bloggers, in turn, blasted the dismissal as political-correctness spiraling out of control."

Sorta gives a good example of the very narrow scope
 

of "behavior" on some so called public service providers. A dead give away that the truth is secondary ANY time political CORRECTNESS is a factor.

Political correctness is a tool to not telling anything the way it is, not allowing an honest opinion and a complete shield from telling/using the truth. Voids the use of right or wrong. One will never ever be able to know what they stand for. A false image needed by the inadequates.

These are folks you don't want on your team for ANYTHING.

It appears that the feedback (comments) to NPR are running 99% in favor or Mr. Williams and against NPR. I would imagine they will be backpeddling pretty quickly in order to save face (not possible in my opinion!). What a bunch of horses posteriors!!:swear:

On NPR's website, an NPR story about the firing says, "Williams' presence on the largely conservative and often contentious prime-time talk shows of Fox News has long been a sore point with NPR News executives."

How's that for fair and balanced reporting on the part of NPR? Shameful.

Does NPR claim to be fair and balanced? I'm not being facetious - I don't listen to them so I wouldn't know.
