This happened yesterday near Tonga! Amazing satellite footage! I cannot imagine what this volcano would have done had it erupted on land!

Oddly enough the comparison to volcanos and sinkholes doesn't make sense as no human lives down there. If someone's house(with them in it)would be swallowed by a sinkhole and they died, or a volcano(which we don't have)erupted and killed them there would be no difference in either death.

Just to clarify....our earths core is liquid magma...undersea volcanic eruptions happen quite often...while they(with all of our satellites)don't usually produce the graphic videos we saw from this one they still happen and cause tsunamis.

Impressive, but not as impressive as tornado damage or a neighbors house getting swallowed by the earth.
