COVID Case Update
 

As most Villagers know, The Villages spans through three different counties. Here are the number of new COVID cases as of Jan. 20, according to the CDC website. In Lake County, there have been 6,412 new cases over the last week. 212 of those cases were admitted to the hospital, and 14 resulted in death.

With reports coming out showing how the numbers are vastly overstated, I am not concerned.

Too many ad hoc reportings of cases, infections, positives, etc.
Credibility approaching zero.
No single, credible source.

Where does it reflect the same infection being reported every day as a new case until they get their negative?
No where.
The same infection resulting in multiple "cases" gets little or no attention.

I'm waiting for someone to claim that some of the 1,900 who are dying every day are actually dying several times in order to skew the statistics.

Positive tests are not the same thing as illness.
 

Lots of people are testing positive when they are not sick at all. Most people who test positive are not sick at all. That number represents POSITIVE tests only, not people who are sick. Very misleading.

How is that possible… Over 75% of the US population has received at least one injection, yet 1,900/ day are dying with Covid. They must all be that unvaccinated 25%, right? At 1,900, the death rate is now higher than the pre vaccine average. So, more people are dying from Covid now that we have the vaccine, than before we had it… makes you wonder just how accurate the information we are getting is.

Simple answer is your numbers are wrong. But hey, don’t let that get in the way of a good conspiracy theory.

Really? What numbers are wrong? 75.9% of the US population have had at least one jab. 1,900 Covid deaths per day equates to 693,500 deaths per year, that’s double the number of deaths in 2020 or 2021. So I ask again, what numbers are wrong?!?

Politics and weird theories aside, how many deaths are acceptable? Loved ones & friends have died as a direct result of the COVID impact.

Most of them die WITH Covid, NOT because of Covid.

Yes, some HAVE died as a direct result of Covid, BUT some have died of the FLU in the past, car accidents, COPD, cancer, gun shot wounds, plane crashes, etc. Everyone dies. It's just a matter of time. Take precautions, but live life without fear. ALL deaths "are acceptable" because I can't change that from happening. Why allow fear to rule your life? Everyone only has a finite amount of time to live. How are you going to live that time, in fear?

Yes, definitely a conspiracy. The numbers are inflated to scare you, but most folks in the villages have one upped the CDC. Everything is fine. Don’t wear a mask, mingle with friends, & have a great time!

While you are at it, spoil yourself, you’ve earned it with a life’s worth of work and dedication to the man. Buy yourself new furniture and even that new car!

So my question is, is it a waste
of time getting all of these booster shots? Because it seems like Covid is getting worse not better. It’s getting to sound like a horror movie, not a cure!
