Glad we bought when we we did.

Went looking at open houses yesterday just for the fun of it. We bought 3 years ago and looked at our same model, over twice the price. Also the house we looked at was on a swamp. We did see a house we liked but not enough to do anything as we love our house.

I know house prices are crazy but to live on a swamp the prices should be discounted.

Not if it's a "view swamp"... :1rotfl:

We bought a Mossy Oak with a view in Bradford in September of ‘20; glad we did, prices have absolutely gone crazy since then!

They don't have any swamps here, this isn't Louisiana, they are "Wet Lands"

The Marsh lots command higher prices as they are considered views and there are no neighbors behind the homes therefore a lot more privacy and quiet. I would take a marsh over a kissing lanai any time. I don'g go outside after dark so not concerned about biting insects and I do enjoy seeing the alligators and other wildlife that live in the marshes.

we've enjoyed watching a variety of Florida wildlife from our 'kissing lanai' over the years, including gators

Watching your neighbors do the "wild thing" doesn't count...

One person's swamp is the salesman's water front property and they charge extra for it.

Before TV bought and developed it was a swamp.
Now with streets full of houses they are listed as "marsh view" premium lots.

Better yet glad we had houses to sell in this market.:a040:

I love how much our house has appreciated.
Our Son will be the only one benefiting down the road.

We have a fabulous lifestyle since buying in TV. Everything here is available to everyone. But, you have to go to it. It does not come to you.

Hey, it's true. The same house would cost less outside of TV. The fact that you aren't happy here doesn't change the facts.

We specifically bought here because it was about the lifestyle. In my case, I wanted it to be easy to get to a variety of golf courses, and a ready-made abundance of pickleball courts and players with a huge variety of skill levels. It has worked out beautifully for us.
We can't imagine ourselves being happier if we'd bought elsewhere. We've made fast friends on the courts and on the courses, and our activities with those friends goes beyond golf and pickle, to cards, dinners, and just hanging out.

Hearing you complain all the time, and express your sour grapes is like listening to someone who paid a premium to be on the beach, and finds he doesn't like sand in his shoes, and is constantly trying to convince others they should also be unhappy, because he is.
