Meggison Road is a disgrace

Meggison Road Eastbound from Okahumpka Circle on is an absolute mess. The trucks leaving the construction site are dropping almost as much dirt as they are carrying. When the weather is dry, it is a dust bowl. When it is wet, it is a mudhole. The contractor must be getting a commission from the local auto glass repair shops and carwashes for the amount of stones and dirt they are leaving on the roadway. If you value your car's windshield and appearance, I would avoid Meggison for the foreseeable future.

BTW, for the directionally challanged, Eastbound is away from Brownwood.

I emphasize with you, your problem is with the Developer/Development Company.

It is always like that in area where they are building new houses.

It was terrible in Osceola Hills when our house was being built six years ago. Dust was flying everywhere.

Now things are fine.

Same thing on 466A. Just growing pains that go away in time. Everywhere we go to shop, dine, entertain etc, someone had to deal with traffic, noise, dirt, inconveniences. It's the Meggison Road areas turn.

Kinda, Gotta agree.

To call it a disgrace is a bit of a drama queen statement.

New way to bash the Developer.
Construction is dirty. New house in Springdale 2000 was dirty. New house near Lake Sumter 2005 was dirty, construction done cleaned up not dirty.
Kinda simple, don’t ya think?

Mrprez 02-05-2022 06:26 PM

Maybe we can get the dump truck drivers to wipe their wheels when leaving the dirt areas.😂

Kenswing 02-05-2022 06:37 PM

This too shall pass.

Great first post btw. lol

Everyone one who has moved into a new neighborhood experiences the dust bowl. It takes awhile, but eventually construction will be completed

First time living in/near a construction zone. Happens at all construction areas and people just deal with it until the construction moves on.
