What’s your favorite song about drinking?

If you don’t drink I am not trying to offend you but what are some of the best songs about drinking. One Bourbon , one scotch , one beer George Thorogood, Five o’clock somewhere, Margaritaville Buffet, Whiskey river Willie Nelson, Hank Williams jr All my rowdy friends have settled down. A few newer country tunes are Drinking problem by Midland, Bottoms up by Brantley Gilbert, and Designated drinker by Alan Jackson. What say you?

I really like this one-- Sunday Mornin' Comin' Down. It is sung by Kris Kristofferson.

George Thorogood has several good drinking tunes. If you don’t start drinking, I’m gonna leave. I drink alone. And one bourbon, one scotch (not one shot), and one beer. I saw George at a dive bar in 1978 called the Rusty Nail, in Sunderland, MA before he made it big. The cover charge to get in was $2.00 and it was one of the best shows I ever had the pleasure to attend. At the time, George had just given up his aspersions to be a Major League Baseball player and decided to pursue his musical career full time. His career choice worked out very well.

I’m wasted and can’t find my way home, by Steve Winwood of Blind Faith gets an honorable mention.

Jose Cuervo

Jose Cuervo
Song by Shelly West

Well it's Sunday Mornin'
And the sun in shinin'
In my eye that is open
And my head is spinnin'
Was the life of the party
I can't stop grinnin'
I had to much Tequila last night
Jose Cuervo you are a friend of mine
I like to drink you with a little salt and lime
Did I kiss all the cowboys?
Did I shoot out the lights?
Did I dance on the bar?
Did I start a fight?
Now wait a minute
Things don't look to familiar
Who is this cowboy
Who's sleepin' beside me?
He's awful cute, but how'd I
Get his shirt on?
I had to much Tequila last night
Jose Cuervo you are a friend of mine
I like to drink you with a little salt and lime
Did I kiss all the cowboys?
Did I shoot out the lights?
Did I dance on the bar?
Did I start a fight?
All those little shooters
How I love to drink 'em down
Come on bartender
Let's have another round [Modulates]
Well the music is playing
And my spirits are high
Tomorrow might be painful
But tonight we're gonna fly
Jose Cuervo you are a friend of mine
I like to drink you with a little salt and lime
Every time we get together
I sure have a good time
You're my friend
You're the best
Mi amigo
(Tequila)
Jose Cuervo you are a friend of mine
I like to drink you with a little salt and lime
Did I kiss all the cowboys?
Did I shoot out the lights?
Did I dance on the bar?
Did I start a fight?
Jose Cuervo you are a friend of mine
