Bought/sold FSBO in TV?

Wondering if anyone has experience/feedback regarding the process of buying a FSBO in TV - what all is involved to properly create an appropriate contract between the seller and buyer, how is a closing set up and handled, etc., etc., etc. We're still toying around with buying a place in TV and are wanting to keep our home search options open - going through TV sales rep, MLS sales rep, and also want to be open to FSBOs as well.

Any insights and input appreciated! Thanks in advance - - - :)

We bought a FSBO. In Florida, Title Companies handle closings, provide contracts, etc. So it was all very easy. We had our attorney review the contract that the Title Company offered, and it was pretty standard so there were no changes made.

Easy peasy.

fsbo

Sold our village home fsbo. Had 53 people look at our home in 7 days. sold on the 7th day. Started out having the villages real estate listed for 6 months, no luck. Our villages real estate agent never once showed our home during that time. Had many showings with other agents, but they would show our used home then drive them to new homes. This happened many times because we would follow them.

paulandjean - How did you handle the contract, other paperwork, closing, etc.? All the "stuff" that needs to get done the get through the whole process.......

Thanks -
Bill

Tri County Land Title and Escrow Co. handled our closing. They have a FSBO packet that takes you thru the process. The office is located near Billy's Diner just North of TV. Just call and pick up the packet. You fill in the information about the property, buyer and seller, and they complete the legal work. 430-2512.

Took leaving 2 messages but I did get a call back from Cindie at their office. She was able to e-mail me the packet of info - pretty much answers all the questions I had!

Thanks for the lead -

Bill, they have two offices. If it works out for you, make sure both buyers and sellers end up at the same office. Yes, our buyers went to the other office first-neither of us knew there were two.

Thanks for the tip!! That would put a wrinkle in your day - someone winding up at the wrong office.... :sigh:
