Grouchy Neighbor

My wife was walking our two small dogs last night and was waiting while one of them peed on a neighbors yard. The neighbor was sitting out across the street and verbally accosted my wife for allowing our dog to pee on her yard by street. (the friendliest hometown apparently doesn't apply to everyone living here) She threatened to call the cops - really? I'd like to see how the police would respond that complaint. She should be more diligent though and be on the lookout for the squirrels, rabbits, birds and other wildlife that are also peeing (and pooping) on her lawn. Sheesh, what a grouchy you know what.

Maybe that grouchy neighbor thought that HER property wasn't YOUR dog's bathroom. Maybe next time have your dog "pee" on YOUR own property?
(PS: I don't know, but the police might respond by charging your wife with trespassing)

It has nothing to do with being grouchy, many people care about their lawns. I don't understand why people walk their dogs daily to purposely do their business in other peoples yards. Take the dog out and walk him around your own yard. I had a german shepard in TV for 8 yrs and I trained him to go in the backyard by a tree and then we would go for a walk ...

Dogs

I can't understand why people think it is ok to let their dogs pee on someone elses property. If you want a dog, let him use yours. I had dogs for 30 years and never once on purpose let him use my neighbors lawn. That is just rude and inconsiderate. However, I see it all too often down here.

Grouchy neighbor or inconsiderate neighbor……that is the question
Neighbor could have asked politely “please don’t let your dog pee on the lawn”
You could simply not think the world is your dog peeing hole

My wife walks our dog once or twice a day. She tries to use only two areas for our dog's "business" -- our yard and common areas in our Village. I say "tries," because you cannot 100% of the time direct a dog, but the point is she attempts to get her to do all her business in OUR yard prior to the exercising walk.

We see so many people race out of their yard to walk their dog to use someone else's.

Another way to think about it is if you went back to your previous state and neighborhood, full of younger people, with different races and ethnicities and attempted to use their yard, daily, as a toilet for your pet -- would you do it there -- I bet not. Maybe I'm wrong. Maybe most of us are wrong for thinking our yard is not your dog's toilet.

It is not solely about a couple ounces of urine -- it is also about respect -- which seems in short supply concerning this issue.

I can't believe you all fell for this trollster.

Stay off their property. Period. Use your lawn as a toilet. Why people have cameras

Maybe. But the point is nonetheless valid.

"Beetlejuice, Beetlejuice, Beetlejuice!"

Now you've done it!

Not sure why people bring their dogs to the mail boxes in golf carts and cars then let them get out and go into the bushes and landscaping (that we pay amenity fees for) and let them pee and poop. Leave them in your car or golf cart when you get your mail! If you are stopping by to get your mail on your walk, leave them on a short lease while you get your mail! The postal stations are not a dog park!

Aaaaand we're off!
