For wanting to keep what's his? Certainly not Phil...

Did you actually read WHY he's doing this?

Yeah, not wanting to pay $MILLIONS for his own likeness is the definition of greed...

When he agreed to accept the millions of dollars he's made playing in PGA events, part of the contract was, and still is, that the PGA owns the images from its events. You don't like that because you like Phil...

So I ask, are you upset that Colin Kaepernick and OBJ [NFL], and LeBron James and James Harden [NBA], and Aaron Judge [MLB], and PK Subban [NHL] also might have no rights to images from games they play??

Part of how professional leagues make money is by owning and selling images of their product. And the money they make is part of why they can then pay the players so much. Phil wants it both ways... he wants high payment for playing, and he wants to control his own images if your statement is correct that such is his concern.

He is free to sell his face for commercial profit, and he does, a lot. He just is not allowed to use PGA event images. Poor Phil.

Poor Phil, hmmmmm!, 400 million plus.

Please don't mention Phil Mickelson and Colin Kaepernick in the same thread.

I have read in several different articles and newspaper columns that Phil has blown millions on a serious gambling problem. He certainly has the personality (risk taking) for it. That said, he loves the attention he is getting regarding his comments on the possible new Tour. Phil loves to promote himself. Of course he is not in that boat by himself. The few that make it to the PGA tour should be thankful because they are truly blessed with the golfing skills that most of us “duffers” are envious of and the money they make wouldn’t be bad either. Fore!

When you are the only game in town (PGA) you make all the rules and those that want to play are either in or out. When a competitor shows up rules change. I suspect the PGA will adjust their hold on the players.

Nice try at changing the subject...

If the NFL, NBA NHO and MLB players were complaining about it, yes I would support them...

And silly me, I always thought it was the sponsors (like WM) who paid the purses...

The PGA has turned into the IOC, imho... Poor PGA...

He has become the Aaron Rogers of the PGA Tour; a whining baby.
