The Anhinga eating Armored Catfish (an invasive species)

All of these photos were taken by Sam Boatman at the springs at Fenney Nature Trail. At first, these pics might seem unbelievable. But not when you understand what is happening. The Anhinga has to orientate the fish so that it can be swallowed head first. For a fish as large as an Armored Catfish, he has no choice but to toss it into the air: mystery solved!!!!!
