Water fountain repair

My water fountain has developed a slow leak and needs patched. Anybody have any recommendations?

Not sure if you have health issues, hope not, but should be a simple repair, as you can see from my avatar, this fountain also has had issues, I found and fixed, find the bubbles is the key, I know you can do it, go for it

Go to the automotive store and buy a fiberglass patch kit. Drain the fountain, clean the area with the leak, and use sandpaper to rough up the finish. Cut the fiberglass to at least 1 inch larger than the leak (crack, hole). Apply the clear bonding agent, then the fiberglass mat, then some more bonding agent, and smooth out. Let dry, and use a suitable automotive paint to match.

I have left over materials from a previous project, but will have to check to see if the bonding agent is still good.
I have also used GOOP and fiberglass for similar repairs, no idea if the Flexseal product would work as i have never used it.

Those Flexseal products sure look great on the TV ads. I think that Phil Swift guy even repaired the Hoover Dam.

Did the Flexseal arrive in 55gallon drums?

I've haven't used the Flexseal paint or spray but I have used the Flexseal tape and it worked great for sealing a leak on a rubber liner. Going on a year now and still holding strong.

I have repaired one before and can have a look at it for you. Let me know if I can help.

I have used the Flex Seal, in spray form, for a fountain repair and it did not work. I haven't tried the FS tape but folks indicate that the tape does work.

We have used Touch of Paradise (352) 307-5129 in Ocala. Reasonable, fair, professional and reliable. I am handy but I have other things I’d prefer to do with my time.
