If you are in the process of moving here, ask the furniture movers if it can be moved with your furniture, we did this with a car. Otherwise, I would go with a U-Haul and suitable ramp, I would not use the U-Haul trailer, unless you are very familiar with towing a trailer, also, these units are VERY heavy, and may not be suitable for a smaller car.

Contact a The UPS Store. Back in NJ we (not me, our store) shipped one by UPS freight. It was 7-8 years ago so I have no recollection of the cost. All traces of gas had to be removed if it's gas and I assume batteries need to be removed IF LITHIUM. They palletized it and wrapped it in shrink wrap. No, it won't go in the regular UPS truck that you see every day :) and maybe they don't even do it anymore. We shipped truck motors and all kinds of weird stuff. :) Probably best off calling their freight dept because the store people likely won't have a clue. Our store had a good manager. ;) It definitely can go common carrier of some sort.

Unless it village ready, I just sell it. Don’t you live in villages and have street rod golf cart? If so how did it get to Virginia?

We put ours in a Haul trailer, and drove it down. On the hitch of an F250 diesel, but could also do it with a Subaru outback 3.5l. Might not get great mileage, but its just one trip.

Rent or borrow a pickup truck, drive it up there, put the cart in the back and drive it back down here.

I had a local mover bring it to VA 2 years ago. Not much use here. I called the mover and he is going to try to make arrangements.

Thank you all for the advice.

I have used Uship.com for a motorcycle and a golf cart. It was great, you post the item. You can just let it go automatic or select from those that respond. You can see their equipment, trailer, open or closed, truck, open or closed and more. You select one, you send your money to Uship and they hold it until you give him your code, then they get paid.
