What is a pulsating sprinkler zone. Water spurting on and off over and over.
 

I noticed in my new house the zone 3 backyard sprinklers making a pounding sound and sputtering off and on. The only way to stop the sprinklers pulsating was to turn the irrigation water valve off. I have warranty sending a irrigation company out but does anyone else have/had this problem where no water comes out? just pulsating sprinkler heads in a zone?

Landscape company the villages sent over replaced a bad valve on zone 1 so it is fixed.

I have seen that for a few seconds when a zone starts, especially if there is a low sprinkler head that can drain some of the water out of the lines. This always stops making the noise after a few seconds once the air is out of the lines. This might be a leak in that zone.
