If it is not recognized by the FDA, I would not go near it, if this is like stem cell therapy there have been lots of negative comments.

I was having some sciatica pain, the chiropractor (Dr. David Kuhns in Wildwood) was very successful in completely eliminating the pain, and NO return after well over a year.

Truth, MY TRUTH, a good doctor-what is that? I've been suffering with my back for years. Been in the villages for roughly ten years AND IT HAS GOTTEN FAR WORSE.
Is it the ten years? Is it damp Florida? Is it something I'm doing? Is it something I'm no longer doing? It it the fact that I'm not that fat but I am 15-20 pounds fatter than I was ten years ago. I've seen physical therapists, Chiropractors. my GP, several pain doctors-that is perhaps the most frustrating. You wait for an appointment for 6-8 weeks IN PAIN and they tell you they can't prescribe anything you need to see xxxxx. A pain doctor will give you a urine test to be sure you are not hooked on opioids looking for a prescription.

Not one of these, "Doctors," have offered solutions. I'm no doctor. Not one has said what is obvious, to me. It is not easy. I should loose perhaps, 20-30 pounds. The hard part IS KEEPING IT OFF.

A good book is titled CROOKED. It is written by an author with back problems. It is a couple of years old. It does explore physical therapy. chiropractors, exercise, acupuncture, drugs, opioids and surgery. Surgery? I think we all know people who have gone for surgery over and over and over again.

Irony? Humor? Ponce de Leon discovered Florida. He was looking for the fountain of youth. What are all these old people doing here? Who is that old guy in my mirror?

I would get the condition confirmed by a proper doctor before even considering "alternative" treatment.
I have had back problems for a long time, and sciatica over the last four to five years.
I had a few session with a physio, and now do my exercise program every morning.
Has worked wonders.
Not cured, but made thing far more comfortable, and livable.

IMO, while I do take them, many articles online say they serve no purpose and I kinda agree but like my grandmother used to say about the healing powers of chicken soup "it can't hoit."

My favorite these days is the one that has been all over TV that puts (slight hyperbole)10 apples, 12 oranges, peaches, prunes, tomatoes, potatoes etc into a tiny little capsule always with a disclaimer that says (basically) "give me your money sucker, thanks." It costs almost as much as gold. :1rotfl:

So very true. The year before moving down here I lost 97 lbs (which is what my wife weighs fully dressed! :D ) and finally got below 180 and all my back and knee pain and high blood pressure was gone for the first time in probably 40 years. Over the last 5 years I have gained back about 35lbs and all the pain and BP returns. This obviously isn't true for everyone but I'd bet it is for a large majority.

See if any of these videos are like your symptoms . He gives a useful analysis . Most chiropractors treat symptoms not the cause. This man is different. Many issues are related to the spine not being supple.

Dr's have little knowledge of vitamins apparently not a subject taught in med school.

Considering how our food is made and our diets things like vitamin c, zinc and fish oil are worth taking IMHO.

Hmmm......which medical school did you go to that didn't teach that??? However, unless a patient is deficient in one or more vitamins, taking mega-supplements generally only results in very expensive urine, or in the case of fat soluble vitamins (A,D,E, and K), toxic effects. Vit C, zinc and fish oil is unlikely to harm anyone, but realize most of the vitamin C taken as supplements will end up getting flushed (Unless you are serving in the British Navy in 1750 and have scurvy:1rotfl::1rotfl::1rotfl:).

Absolutely, positively 100%+ correct!!!!!

A quick anecdote:
About 10 years ago a patient came to our ER with 45 pound weight loss and profound weakness in both her legs to the point she could no longer walk. She had gone to a chiropractor who had been "treating" her for 10 months without a medical evaluation or even an x-ray while she got worse and worse. After getting an emergency MRI of her lumbosacral spine, I sent her off to the University Hospital for emergency radiotherapy of her 12 cm spinal cord tumor. She was dead 2 weeks later. The tragedy: She was a nursing supervisor at a local nursing home with 30 years nursing experience.

Moral of the story: If this could happen to an experienced medical professional, how much more is the risk to all the "Dr. Googles" out there. GET A REAL DOCTOR TO DIAGNOSE YOU FIRST!!!!!

from your lips to God's ear. idk the cure for back/neck pain but we still search, don't we? it's a combination of all the things you posted: age, weather, overweight but i believe we are in the best place for those suffering chronic pain, warm sun & heat does wonders

In my opinion, regenerative therapy, stem cell therapy and bariatric chamber therapy are all modern snake oil. Buyer beware.

Actually there was this box of wheaties and ______.
Or would you believe vitamins for dummies?

In my experience several doctors we have seen earlier in life did not seem to have much interest in vitamins. Zinc and fish oil seems to have definite health benefits.
