Hologram production at the Sharon

Last night we saw the Roy Orbison / Buddy Holly dream rock and roll performance at the Sharon

Wow...Technology has come such a long way....the holograms of Orbison and Holly actually made you thing that they were there with you....I kid you not

we all clapped like it was a live concert

the wife sang every song....we truly walked away feeling like we had received our money's worth...it was extremely well done, and I'll go to another hologram show featuring the best talent that have left us

just saying

Glad you enjoyed the show.

But "I'm just saying" The Sharon is turning out to be a gathering place for the wealthy.

It was amazing! I couldn't believe it when Orbison first rose up on the stage. I recorded 36 seconds of it. It didn't turn out very well because 1) I couldn't use the phones lighting and 2)from where I was sitting the microphone was in front of Roy's face which distorted, but I assure you, the holigram was so perfect you could see every tooth, hair and facial expression with crystal clarity. He looked as real as the other performers on the stage.

36 seconds

If you do a search on YouTube you can find clearer video, but this is from the Sharon.

Wealthy how little do you think they should charge? If so little how will they get the talent?

There's usually a discounted obstructed view seat available if you want.

WOW I knew this technology was going to be mainstream one day. So cool for fans to still be able to experience their fave artist. :coolsmiley:

I worked that show as an usher and I actually heard a couple say "I thought they were both dead." Technology is amazing. On another subject, my pet peeve is when the audience is told there is no photography or video allowed and patrons do it anyway, ruining the show for everyone around them.

Unless people are going to be tossed or not allowed into future shows some people will just do as they wish.

Funny! Reminds me of when I visited the Grand Canyon about 10 yrs ago, there was a group of students standing behind me viewing the canyon when one young lady stated "Wow" is this manmade?

Years ago I went to a Cher concert. When she sang the song I Got You Babe, a hologram of Sony was on the side of her. It was amazing how real it looked. I guess these days even better.

I enjoyed the show. The holograms really did look like the singers, except they seemed to be about eighty percent life size. It was a bit like watching Tom Cruise and Michael J. Fox singing. The real players behind them had bigger heads.
