Are ChangLi electric cars an alternative to golf carts

I have thoughts about moving to The Villages. I know it’s suggested to get a golf cart. I was online and came across this electric car by ChangLi company. I was wondering if you can use this in place of a golf cart. They’re really neat looking. Attachment 93046 .

It looks like the Atomic electric vehicles sold in Wildwood. I think they can be used on the golf course, but you may need to replace the tires with wider ones to not damage the grass.

OP, you might want to consider maintenance, repairs, and parts. Yamaha's (probably the most popular) are easy to do all of this, and there are companies that will service at your house. I am sure you will have significant problems with this vehicle.
Also, you do not state if this would be a licensed vehicle (like a smart car), that changes how you can use the vehicle and where you can use the vehicle. IMHO, a new technology GAS golf cart works very well in TV.

I did some more research on the ChangLi electric cars. Found a video about The US company who sells them .Went to their website, only to find they weren’t as reasonably priced as I originally saw them at. They’re around $8000,00. Might as well by an Atomic car.

Forget about it! Buy a cart that is built in America and where service and parts are readily available. Yamaha, EZGO or Club Car. Anything else will lead to brain damage eventually.

Not familiar with it. My view is the same with most things particularly complex things such as an electric car. An orphan product, NO SUPPORT SYSTEM, may be inexpensive till you purchase it. Parts, where will you get them? Service, who knows how to diagnose and repair problems?

Website? Some truly impressive looking websites are some unemployed, too old to still be called A KID living in their parent's basement. Around 8,000. Shipping? Final assembly? Tax?

$8000 for a new cart is a great price as others are up to $18000. Those will look out of place just as the atomic and others do. I prefer gas carts and would not look at something that was only available in electric.

well-regarded but as everyone says unless you're handy not something I'd get involved in better to buy a used golf cart

I own an Atomic cart for about two years. They are sold and serviced by a local dealer near Brownwood
It has been reliable, so far for 14000 miles. I get about 50 miles between charges
Parts, service has not been an issue
These carts are safer, have more comfortable seating, air conditioned, heated, windshield wipers and more
I play golf opening the doors to get out and play is not an issue
I am not a salesman, just someone who was had similar negative feelings for Atomics until I drove one

Atomics go 50 miles with a lead acid battery while using air conditioning
With a lithium battery they go 90 miles

Wow, a whole 50 miles? What about as the batteries age?

Of course, 50 miles will be the round trip from Mulberry Plaza to the southernmost, yet to be developed areas of TV near Center Hill. If you only get 48 miles, enjoy your walk:1rotfl::1rotfl::1rotfl:
