He doesn't advertise as a Podiatric Surgeon although he is affiliated with a local hospital, just a Podiatrist although I guess he technically can be call one. I definitely wouldn't go to him for "major" foot surgery as that isn't his specialty. He does pretty well just "chipping and clipping" the old folks in his area. :1rotfl:

You're discussing "palliative care" vs "surgical intervention"...
Any podiatrist in the state is licensed to do both. Just because one calls him/herself a "podiatric surgeon" means nothing.
Board Certification" in foot or foot & ankle surgery does...
I'm Board Certified, yet I still call myself a "Podiatrist" when asked what I do...
Now, in my waning years in practice, I have chosen to do less surgery, as I get closer to retirement. But that's a personal decision...
Credentials matter. Not a name...
