Club Car Batteries and On Board Computer
Just had Ken Spano intall new Trojan Batteries in my 2001 Club Car. Tech advised that OBC is discolored and it may be bad. If batteries fail prematurely warranty is void if OBC is bad. Said he could install a new OBC for $310. I would think OBC could be discolored from being in hot garage all summer. Any one had similar experience?

What's OBC ?

Do they have a way to actually test the computer to verify proper functionality? If it's working fine, I wouldn't replace it..........but that's just me. However, I'd think Ken Spano and his guys would have enough experience to know what's right and what's wrong with carts and their components. And I've never gotten the feeling from anything I've heard or read that the guy's out scamming people - that would truly be bad for business. Bill |
