removing rocks

I'm planning to remove the rock garden in front of my house. Thinking of doing it myself. Does anyone know how I would dispose of the rocks?
Thanks

Pile them at the end of your driveway with a sign that says "FREE."

That would get rid of lots of them quickly

OP, also depending on what you are doing you will probably need ARC approval for your changes. I went through this when we went from pine straw to stone and ARC approval was required in our CDD, be sure to check.

Best to get ARC approval it is easy and free. Putting them on your driveway with a sign probably would work. If you don't want that, then post here with a photo and when they will be available. I am sure some one will want to get them to add to their own already installed.

Then after a couple days if their still there, put a $50.00 sign on them.

So to answer your question, and not belabor the constant "ARC" suggestions, if you can fit the stone in your vehicle, you can take to the landfill off of Moyer Loop. You'll spend $29.20. Or, you can take a trip to the Sumter County Landfill (Bushnell), and spend far less. Lastly, if you don't want to have to mess with loading and hauling, let me know and I'll give you the name of a crew I use for this type of work.

Not sure what your rock garden looks like but this could work for you. When we changed all the rocks around our house we drove around our neighborhood and knocked on all doors that had same rocks and told them what we were doing. Shoveled them to end of our driveway and they came by with shovels and buckets and they were gone in a day and very appreciative.
If big rocks look for landscaping guys……sure they would love them

Rocks

Neighbor posted a notice on FB Marketplace for free rocks if you come and get them. A contractor came with a trailer and shoveled them away. They did the work and used them on another project. Great way to recycle.

I would not rely on remarks made on this site - why not call your district office and get the RIGHT info??
