AC Air Duct Cleaning

Looking for advice on someone to clean my ducts in the house. Anyone have any experience with Stanley Steemer? Thank you.

They did ours last year. Very happy with the work...

The air ducts are made of a flexible material with lots of nooks and crannies. Cleaning them will not be effective, and the equipment could puncture a hole in the flexible duct. If that happens, you will have a major problem trying to locate the leak and getting access to it. I would never allow someone to clean the duct system. But, you should have the dryer vent duct cleaned to prevent a fire. That duct is a sheetmetal duct inside the wall.

Lots of threads on this here and the prevailing opinion of the most knowledgeable folks on here is dont do it.

Will be doing our dryer vent soon.

You can have the VENTS cleaned and the air handler cleaned, but as noted above IMHO I will never try to have the flexible duct work cleaned.

I just hired Air Mavericks to do mine. All 5 star reviews and just got on BBB with an A rating. They are coming next Monday.

Used Wright Way Duct Cleaning. #352-483-5545.

We used Tom Wright for a healthier home. The owner, his son & 1 crew man came in & took out the vents, took them outside & washed & dried them. The owner Tom took great attention to our heater & cleaned that. The suction system they used pulled 10 years of dust, pollen:) & residue out & into a tank. They also cleaned our dryer vent inside & on the roof.
Very pleased with the company & highly recommend.
:)

Just used them a week ago. They arrived when they said they would and did 4 rooms in about 3hrs. They will ask you if your having your carpets done that they have a protective application to help prevent stains $25 per room. Hesitate and they will compact and lower the price somewhat. Plan on having wet carpet fo about 24 hrs. Turn on ceiling fans and lower AC temp to increse evaporation. They did a good job.Good luck.

Did you use the ones out of Orlando or Ocala?

We recently had Wright Way Duct Cleaning service our system and we are very happy with the service. I would recommend the Wrights to anyone needing their ductwork cleaned.

My house it the total opposite. Metal ducts inside house, flexible for dryer vent in garage. So I would have no problem getting house ducts done.
