Direct TV is available anywhere you can see the sky.

It is, but search for reviews..............Florida weather causes issues at the worst time.

that’s why you have the non HD station to go to , which a picture that’s almost as good, I didn’t even loose signal when that hurricane came over the villages a few years ago

I was a long time customer of Direct TV but gave it up a couple of months ago. I was paying $150 a month which included the premium channels. I now use over the air and stream the other stuff. A lot cheaper that way. ATT really screwed up Direct's customer service.

Streaming Hulu + Live gets you the same content at half the price of Direct Tv...
There is also Sling ... And numerous content providers that have great live Tv and Sports packages.
All at substantialy less cost then Direct Tv.
Google searches can find all this for you. Might want to get acquainted with modern times.

It’s the best forecaster of a rain storm. Before the first drop of rain “signal lost on one”. Sure you can switch to non HD channels. Also if the power happens to go out for a second or two due to a lightning strike on a transmission line leading to The Villages the Directv box takes forever to come back on. IMO the only reason to have it is so you can pay an extra $300 a year for NFL Sunday Ticket( at least that’s how much it was when I punted it).

Our Directv rarely goes out and if it does, my wife has lots of programs recorded to last about a week.
And I don't watch foolsball so no NFL add on.

I dropped Spectrum after they bought Brighthouse cable. Have had Dish for three years and love it. Yea, if there is a huge thunderstorm it will go out for perhaps three minutes. I would highly recommend Dish.

I had Direct TV for years, but prices went through the roof, so I switched to DISH. Their prices are going up also, but I get better service than I did with Direct.

banjobob 04-25-2022 05:46 AM

Yes but why , lose signal in storms .Streaming is much better.

We had DIRECTV here for six years and had no issues. As others have stated, I had it for the NFL Sunday Ticket, but it got too costly so I went to streaming with YouTube TV, and gave up the Sunday Ticket.
