Palmetto greens not mowed?
 
I played Palmetto golf course today, whoever mow the greens today. Didn’t Mow the whole green!! They left a lot of strips on the edges not mowed , why !!!!!!

They do this to give the perimeter cut of the green a break since that can only be mowed one way. If you do a "cleanup” cut everyday it will cause damage to the perimeter.

If you hit your drive to the middle of the green, the edges of the green don’t matter

The taller edges are great to help keep your shots from rolling off the back side of the greens
