Do the Silver Springs monkeys carry Monkey Pox? I understand that dozens of monkeys have escaped after the Tarzan filming and now live throughout Florida!

I don’t know what “ I understand” means?

wow, ok. the monkeys who live there were brought in many years ago as a tourist attraction. they overmultiplied & now have run of the area. i've never heard of them having monkey pox, but i DO know they have herpes. so, just look from afar & take pics

The Apes are in hiding learning how to ride horses and shoot rifles. We'll be out of gas and forced to surrender.

Good advise they are not exactly domesticated. Wonder how they would get herpes?

if memory serves, they were used in medical research, & deliberately infected. i learned this many years ago, maybe someone here knows a bit more about where they came from
