If they wanted safety they would add streetlights at the intersections with traffic signals.

It sure would be nice to fix the intersection at Powell and SR44.

KsJayhawkers 06-01-2022 06:15 AM

It would be really nice to have street lights installed on SR44 and landscaped medians like they did on CR466 / 466A / Meggison Rd / Warm Springs Rd

I also add to the remark of adding street lighting to those busy intersections. It is hard to see those turns off of 44 onto the major roads going North and South.

Will they do the work in small chunks? From initial touching the road, to being 100% complete in that small chunk, in as short of a time as possible? Then move on to the next chunk. Minimize overall impact to vehicles.
Or will this be another 441 mess? Miles of barrels with nothing being done. Traffic jams along the entire length. Where cars waste gas sitting in long lines of stopped traffic.

it's probably stated completely wrong. looks more like a restructure of the road, which will take much longer because in Florida these things take 8 times longer than they do up north.....

Not in Massachusetts where they would take 8 times longer than here.

Could go from just busy to very bad for quite a while with limited improvement.

Sr 44 resurface

The leveling height of eastbound and westbound lanes would be a plus for large vehicles.
Northbound and southbound vehicles bottom out going across sr 44 @ Powell rd.

I'm sure they will pay particular attention to all the railroad crossings on SR44 between 301 and the Lake County line.

Based on the string of comments it sounds like the masses prefer the road as it is. Not a single positive comment. I'm sure the work will be slow and sub par work.

They sure can build a house here much faster than "up north".
