Roommate Wanted

With inflation and crazy increases in rent, it would be nice to share expenses and save money. I’m looking to share a 3 bedroom/2 bath house with a roommate. Prefer female, at least 55 years old, preferable with another Villager who is active during the day. No smoking, drugs or wild parties.
We would share common areas but would each have our own bedroom/bathroom. 3rd bedroom would be used as a den in case either of us would need our own space. I have a 2nd bedroom set if you need it.
$1,000 month plus half of electric, gas, cable, WiFi.
Please feel free to call Lisa 608-963-6324.

Make sure you get a background check first. Watch roommates on netflix first for horror stories.

That's a scary thing to do, you could be lucky or unlucky. You can't stop a roommate from bringing people in the house to visit and you won't know their background or what they might have in mind nor will your ever know for sure the roommate's background or how sloppy she will be or if she'll even pay her rent after the first week or two. If you are used to living alone you will not enjoy having a stranger sharing your home. Unless you can't exists without the extra income I would suggest that you don't do it. It's really easy to bring in extra money today with all of the part time jobs available that pay very well. You would be better off sitting for a small dog in your home to bring in extra cash, people are always looking for someone to do just that.

Now I am worried for you. Must be a very trusting group in Wisconsin.

What’s wrong with you people over the years I’ve known many people both men and woman who have taken in a roommate , some do it for company others for financial reasons and none have been murdered yet , you know if you can’t say something positive , just say nothing

Rethink your request. This is not the way to find a roommate.

I would be very careful getting to know them before committing to long term.

Warning someone who most likely has never done this before or that might be naive IS saying something positive.

I don’t see anything in her post that tells me she is naïve, people having roommates here is a much more common then many think ,especially among woman , but I’m arguing here with the wall so I’ll just quit , I’m sure if the woman said she was driving to Orlando by herself she would probably be warned not to do it

Speaking of walls, my reply was that "SHE MIGHT BE NAIVE" and if she has never done this before, it will be an education.

You can't base your comments off of a tv show!

Is this even allowed by the deed restrictions?

As everyone has said renting to someone is worrisome. Be careful. Also, check with an attorney, it is not always easy to get someone out if they stop paying.
