Noob here, where do you get your tank filled. New gun on the way. Trying to decide if I need to buy a compressor, or tank, or both. Thanks in advance.

Where do you plan to shoot? The air gun ranges here at the Rec centers allow for up to 300 fps.

Yep I knew that about the pcp. Unless detuned they shoot well above the range limit. Not sure where to fill a tank.

Oh only .177 cal can be used at the TV ranges.

Still looking for an answer to my question. I know there are other PCP shooters here.

Have you checked the local dive shops?

One of the club officers said the only one was in Ocala. It looks like I will be getting a compressor. Any way I have a lot to learn. Thanks for the reply

I had the same issue a few months ago. I found out there was a Dive shop on 441 or one in Ocala. I decided to go with a Compressor because a tank will cost you around $300 or more and I bought my Compressor for about $330. Tanks have to be certified even though they may never be used for scuba. There are also hand pumps (I have one also), but they take a lot of effort.

Actually used to go to Dick's to refill my tank but when they discontinued guns they also eliminated CO2 refills. There is a small place on 301/27 just south of Ocala across from the drive-in theater that will refill it:

I would stay away from the Shop in Ocala NOT Friendly.

Thanks for all the replies. I like to be self sufficient, I plan eventually to have a tank and compressor. It appears that Airgun supplies are like firearm reloading components, hard to come by. AOA appears to be out of almost everything I was looking for.

Two CO2 tanks to sell
 

I have 2 CO2 tanks to sell. I was using them for a swimming pool device that reduced the pool's pH using CO2. The device was unreliable, and I got my money back for it. However, I got stuck with the two CO2 bottles. PM me if you're interested in purchasing them from me. I know where you can get them filled.
