TOTV Page Loading Speed
 

Is it just me or others experiencing some (not always) slow page loading times on TOTV? Slow to me is 15 seconds or longer on my desktop directly connected to my router or 30 seconds or longer on my IPAD connecting via WiFi.

Sometimes pages load in 2-3 seconds, but, often it is 15 or longer. That may not sound like a lot, but, if you're trying to wade through 40 new thread/posts, it can take awhile. :popcorn:

I was trying to figure out the size of an average page with all the ads, but, the best I could do was get properties (size) on individual graphics. Any gurus out there know how large an average TOTV page is? Or, perhaps, Google analytics is slowing things down. Or is Norton screening content. Any other ideas?

What's your experience, what's your computer setup?

I agree it is loading slower lately. I don't know the size either. But when I look at how many packets are transmitted for the average page, it runs around 250. Sometimes as low as 120 and as high as 500, but average is around 250 packets. If your computer registry is set for native mode, which most are, then the average packet is usually around 500 bytes of data. Different registry setting can make that higher as well. But 250 packets times 500 bytes equals 125K per page. And that is a very rough guesstimate.

I'm not having any difficulties with my laptop....loads very quickly.

LOL....I didn't even notice that. Apparently my computer is loading quickly, but I'm not!!!
