We passed by there and saw EMT’s doing CPR on someone. Don’t know what the outcome of that was.

Someone must have been stopping when the light was changing and people behind them was trying to hurry through the light..

I don't know what caused the accident, but, if you are used to driving in The Villages, and not familiar with Rt 44, it can be a shock when you turn off of Morse Blvd, and the speed limit increases to 55 mph.

Even worse if you're pulling out of Lake Deaton Plaza. I think people often misjudge how fast that traffic is coming at them. I've seen several near misses caused by cars that casually pull out onto 44.

Why has this board become "accident" reporting place. A bunch of "grime" reapers that live on other peoples troubles

Or.... sharing information of local interest on a local forum. Much easier to find out what is happening here than having to read through the five local(ish) newspapers.

So if they were doing CPR, guessing a medical emergency happened either with the driver or passenger.
Either way, don’t find folks looking to be a Grimm reaper in training, but as a concern of fellow residents. Plus one can always not read a post if it upsets them so badly

I read on the other site one person was killed and his wife was seriously injured. The couple were behind several vehicles at a red light and a person driving a pickup truck did not slow down and crashed into the couples vehicle.

You should copyright "grime reaper" for future use as a cleaning product.

Grime reapers? Did you mean grim reapers?

People are interested in what happens around here and get tired of waiting on the Sun to report the news.

Thanks to these reports I will take extra care and try to be more attentive while driving thru these areas. As a retired professional driver, I’ve witnessed too many tragic things on the road. I find reviewing them over time has helped make me a safe driver rather than ignoring the risks.
