Shopping for sound bar + wireless subwoofer

We both have the hearing aids with blue-tooth/TV connection.

I am looking to remove our Morantz tuner/sound system/powered sub woofer.

Replacing with sound bar and wireless sub-woofer.......this is for the few times there would be someone here (no hearing aid sound connection). As a result I am looking for a 2.1 system as surround/etc will not be needed.

This new set up will very much simplify the current setup through the Morantz tuner.

There are so many sound bars to choose from so I am looking for guidance/suggestions/recommendations/etc.

I’m a Vizio fan and have had great success with our soundbars with remote subwoofers. We have two. With that said, there are many other good choices as well.

If you want to save money, the $80 Insignia at Best Buy works fine. Note that, this soundbar has an RCA input in addition to an optical and HDMI input. Most newer soundbars do not have an RCA input. If you need an RCA input, this is the one to buy. I am not impressed with high priced soundbars. The only reason to pay big bucks is if you want to play it very loud without distorsion.

Bluetooth Adapter

Looks like you have a great setup that a $1,000 sound bar could not match. Check the web for a bluetooth adapter that can be added to the TV set or the stereo .Costs should be under $100.
Keep your current setup for for when you want to rattle the windows.

I think the OP said that the TV already has a bluetooth adapter.

If you go with a sound bar or adapter you need one that supports two bluetooth receivers .Most low end sound bars do not broadcast bluetooth to head phones or hearing aids only to the sub woofer and they receive bluethtooth from a phone/pad .Do research and ask questions before you buy .

I agree. You definitely need to do research to get the correct sound outputs. Even a lot of high end soundbars will not output sound to Bluetooth headphones. And, if your TV doesn't have an optical audio output, you may need to find a soundbar with RCA inputs, which are fast becoming obsolete on soundbars. Also, you need a soundbar that will allow you to control the volume with the same remote as your TV or cable box remote. Soundbars can be very confusing to set up.

Sound bars for hearing impaired.

Check out sound bars offered by ZVOX which offer dialogue clarifying technology. I am moderately hearing impaired and my hearing aids will not work with any bluetooth sound bars. The ZVOX sound bar is pretty amazing. Most sound bars only amplify sound, this sound bar has multiple settings to make dialogue MUCH easier to hear. You can find them on Amazon for $200 - $250.

You need to go with Sonos. Make sure you don’t go with a low end system. The sound from Sonos is excellent.

I have a SONOS Beam (Gen1) and two SONOS One that I brought down here when we moved that we no longer use. I do not have the subwoofer. I am not certain about Bluetooth capabilities. If you’d like, I will consider any offer.

We purchased a Bose sound bar system and it sounds fantastic. Voices are very clear. You can get just the sound bar first and try it and decide if you even need a subwoofer or not.
Setup is as simple as plugging in one wire from the Bose to the TV. Warning: Cheap sound bars are crap and a wast of money.
