They made some of that picture in Sonoma County, CA where my parents lived in 1986-1995. The movie production trailers were just across the golf course green from our backyard in Rohnert Park. They were in the parking lot of what was the Red Lion Inn. Sylvester Stallone snuck in the hotel by wearing a nun's habit.

The first Rambo, no studio shooting, all outside and in a little town. No fake computer generated action sequences.

That was a very good movie.

Same here on the first Rambo.
And there was another later on with that black dude, in the future.

Rocky was great. But his best acting performance was Assassins.

Honorable mention is Antz. So funny.

there's a funny scene in that movie when they are fighting in the taxi cab and the bus along side of them has a sign about gun violence

Any of the later Rambo's. His Stand-up routines with Richard Crenna were hysterical i.e. Stallone and Crenna surrounded in the Dessert by 3,000 killers. Crenna says to Stallone "What are we going to do?" Stallone " I guess surrounding them is out of the question."
