Google Map street view image updates?

The google map street view image of our Villages home (date is stamped on bottom of image) has not been updated since July 2013. Google claims they try to update all street view images in populated areas every year and every three years in more rural areas. We are in CDD1, which I would consider a density populated area, and I find it odd that our street view image is 9 years old. Is this just our particular neighborhood or have others noticed a very old image of their home?

They are probably having a hard time catching up with the new locations. Has your house changed a lot since 2013?

My neighborhood in District 9 was built in 2015 and it has been updated within the past 2 years or so.

Why would you even want it on the map. Privacy first

No street view yet for our neighborhood in CDD 10

Probably shortage of map technicians!

Google Earth usually has the newer satellite views, including a slider to view historical photos. The last time i was on it I did not see street view as an option.

We have made many significant improvements to both our home and outside landscaping over the last seven years that would be nice to see in the street view image. Not worried about privacy, friends and family have googled the home to check out the image and it would be nice if the picture was current. The google earth satellite views are current, I was looking at them today (it was mid 90’s and humid up north) checking out our pool and wishing I could go for a swim.

It doesn't matter to me if TV is fully map out, but if to many who think it is important. Form a group of volunteers offering their time and maybe Google will supply the equipment needed.

Would be a cool club - I bet it would be popular.

Contact Google and ask them if you could pay them a service fee to update the photo. If they say yes, would you pay? Why would google go to the expense to update street photos which they have in their system when new streets all over the world are being built every day. Come on folks let's get real.

I’m in Polo Ridge and the photo is old. I didn’t find a date but the landscaping was very different when we purchased our Villa 2 years ago. I did notice that anyone can take a 360 degree photo of any address and submit it to Google.

Good idea! Especially if you plan to sell your house or just want to send a link to your friends.

Google doesn’t take requests to update Street View imagery. But you can see where they're driving - Discover Street View and contribute your own imagery to Google Maps.

Or, you can add your own photos. See here for more details: Add, remove, or share photos and videos - Computer - Google Maps Help
and this link shows how to create 360 photos: Create or import Photo Spheres - Android - Google Maps Help
