Movie’s at the Sharon?

Looks like the Sharon is going to show couple classic movies starting in August. Thoughts

retiredguy123 07-28-2022 04:21 PM

I don't get it. I would rather watch them at home.

Bogie Shooter 07-28-2022 04:21 PM

None.
What are you trolling for?

They used to do that at the Rialto.

EdFNJ 07-28-2022 05:08 PM

Maybe they'll try to sell timeshares before they let you watch. :D

It’s probably for the technically challenged that can’t operate a SmatTv

I remember that. The Music Box Theater in Chicago had the same format, but with 70 mm. Saw Dr. Strangelove, Blade Runner, and The Good The Bad and The Ugly there. Nice thing is that you get to watch a favorite classic in a wide screen theater again rather than on TV. Not a bad idea. just wish it were the Rialto.

Trolling, Word of the day for you, or you have no thoughts. Must be hot weather or just older gens who feel the need to crap on a question. Sorry you opened my thread that really set you off to name calling.

“Asking would you watch a movie in the Sharon?” The movie theater has been closed forever, so movie’s at the Sharon, maybe a solution for loss of venue.

Have been to Sharon once for a live performance, but not sure how singing in the rain would sound or the picture quality.

Looks like developers are trying something new.Prices are 10.50 for public, and 8.50 for residents. Will try to catch one of the movies to see, and hopefully my response will not cause BS to attack

Lot of money for a movie we can watch on TV but hopefully this is the start of reopening it.

No BS attack from me...............

What a great idea. I'd LOVE to see old classic movies on a huge screen. I've never seen movies like "Singing in the Rain" on a big screen. I will be looking forward to that. I'd also love to see the 1961 "West Side Story" on a big screen.

As for the sound, The Sharon has wonderful acoustics. I remember seeing The Beach Boys in that theater and Mike Love said they look forward to coming back there because the superior acoustics make them sound great. Hopefully, the sound system will knock my socks off, especially for a classic movie musical. LOVE those.

Tickets are purchased for "Singing in the Rain". YAY!!! I've seen this movie several times on TV but never on a big screen. I'm going with my sister who also loves this movie. Thanks so much to the OP for posting about this.

Hasn't the fate of the Rialto already been announced; MVP is taking he spot.

And what about the Barnstorm moves? Situation not addressed.

I wonder how the picture quality is on a large screen with some old flecks.

Not that important for me and I hope you'll enjoy the show.
