GM's Chevy Bolt assembly plant shuts down after fight results in one death of 1 worker

Imagine what GM would have done had the fight resulted in two deaths of 1 worker!

In a statement released Thursday, GM said it was cooperating with the Oakland County Sheriff’s Office over what it described as “an altercation between two employees of a third-party service provider at Orion Assembly early Thursday morning.” GM also offered its thoughts and prayers to the victim’s family.

Other than the crime scene why close down the entire factory?

Mortal1 08-11-2022 01:26 PM

Nope. I prefer to ignore all these news items that there is absolutely nothing I can about. A lot of us have enough baggage from the previous 50/60 years to worry/think/about to consider that which you refer.

Then it would have been the National Enquirer reporting it, not USA Today

At least it wasn't in the Daily Sun so you can't bash them this time. :1rotfl:

I look at USA Today online. Lately so much stuff is Subscription Only. What used to be my go-to paper many years ago while traveling etc has become a very biased “news” source. So easy to see their slant. But I still review, what I can see for grins.

Hey I still have a subscription to the paper but get it for what is going on in the bubble. Did a double take when I saw the headline when they complained about people getting money as campaign contributions running for commissioners of Sumter.

Turns out it was the people running against the developers favorites. Wonder what the developers favorites collected?

Just so you don't think I'm slipping:

Yesterday's fun fact (A2) was:

"261.5M - The amount of troy ounces of gold the U.S. holds. The U.S. is the highest holder of gold per tonne."

What does "highest holder of gold per tonne" mean?

It's really easy to find out. Each candidate must disclose their financials monthly. All it takes is a few strokes of your keyboard.
