Closet Wire Shelving
EDIT: I FOUND MY SHELVES. THANKS TO VILLAGETINKER
We have a couple of damaged wire shelves in our closet that need to be replaced. I cannot find anywhere that sells the same brand. The end wall braces are Rubbermaid, so I assume the shelving is also Rubbermaid. I've checked out Lowes, and Home Depot, but they only sell Closetmaid which do not "match" the rest of the closet. Does anyone have an idea where I can locate some Rubbermaid 16-inch shelving? I only need two 22-inch long pieces. TIA |
How old is your house? It seems the wire rack manufacturers like to change styles every couple of years. You might end up having to go with whatever is closest to what you have.
Robert Manning does a lot of the initial installs in TV. You might give him a call and see if he has any of the older stuff in his warehouse. 352-307-8474 or 427-7767 Robert Manning, Inc. • Shower Doors • Tub Enclosures • Grab Bars • Bath Accessories • Mirrors • Closet/Garage Storage Sales - Service - Installation |
Amazon sells Rubbermaid shelving, but it may not match what is in your house. Are you sure it is 16 inches wide? Mine are all 12 inches.

The remainder of the closet has the standard 12-inch wire shelving. |

If that does not give you what you need post ISO on Villages Nextdoor and facebook pages.
I may have a some from my pantry cabinet that I pulled out. I rehung the ones from the laundry in the garage. |
Ace Hardware has the Rubbermaid brand shelving. Not sure about other locations, but the Wildwood store does not cut it to fit, you’ll need to cut it yourself

I already visited the Ace Hardware in Wildwood, and the other in Fruitland Park. No Luck. The VillageTinker thinks he might have what I need. |

Cut a piece of your shelving about 2 inches wide, and take it with you to Home Depot, Lowes and Ace Hardware, and see if any of them match what the retailer is selling. Easiest way. Another way is to call a company that does closet remodeling and see if they have any wire shelving that they removed from one of their projects. Lastly, advertise in the want ads. Lots of people are DIY'ers and may be able to help you.

Another option is to check thrift stores and Habituate for Humanity Store, I know when we had our closets done, thats where they company that did ours said they do with the stuff they remove.
